Calatheas plant

Calatheas, also known as prayer plants, are tropical houseplants celebrated for their strikingly beautiful foliage. Native to the rainforests of South America, Calatheas feature bold patterns in shades of green, white, purple, and pink, making them popular for indoor decor. Their leaves often have a velvety texture and are known to move throughout the day—a phenomenon called "nyctinasty." The leaves fold upwards at night, resembling hands in prayer, and reopen in the morning.
